Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium alloy with corrosion and high temperature resistance. It has excellent mechanical properties and presents desirable combination of high strength and good weldability under a wide range of temperatures. . It gives excellent resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking and also provides excellent resistance to alkaline solutions. The high nickel content in Inconel 600 enables it to retain considerable resistance under reducing conditions, making it resistant to corrosion for a number of organic and inorganic compounds.

Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium alloy used in where require resistance to corrosion and heat. Alloy 601 develops a tightly adherent oxide scale which resists spall even under conditions of severe thermal cycling. Its properties make it a material of broad utility in fields like thermal processing, chemical processing, pollution control, aerospace, and power generation. This nickel alloy has good high temperature strength and retains its ductility after long service exposure. It has good resistance to aqueous corrosion, high mechanical strength, and is readily formed, machined and welded. However, alloy 601 is not suggested for use in strongly reducing, sulfur bearing environments.

Inconel 625 is a corrosion and oxidation resistant nickel alloy that used for its high strength and outstanding aqueous corrosion resistance. It has excellent fatigue strength and stress-corrosion cracking resistance to chloride ions and it also has excellent weldability to weld AL-6XN. Its outstanding strength and toughness is due to the addition of niobium which acts with the molybdenum to stiffen the alloy's matrix. This alloy resists a wide range of severely corrosive environments and is especially resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion. Some typical applications Inconel 625 is used in are chemical processing, nuclear reactors, marine engineering, pollution-control equipment, and aerospace .

Inconel 718 is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy designed to resist a wide range of severely corrosive environments, pitting and crevice corrosion. The addition of niobium acts with the molybdenum to stiffen the alloys matrix and provide high strength without a strengthening heat treatment. This nickel steel alloy also displays exceptionally high yield, tensile, and creep-rupture properties at high temperatures. This nickel alloy is readily fabricated and may be welded in either the annealed or precipitation (age) hardened condition. It’s corrosion resistance and high strength with outstanding weldability including resistance to post weld cracking.This superalloy is used in a variety of industries such as aerospace, chemical processing, nuclear reactors, pollution-control equipment, and marine engineering.

Inconel X-750 is a high temperature alloy which used in applications such as high temperature structural members for gas turbines, jet engine parts, nuclear power plant applications, heat-treating fixtures, forming tools, and extrusion dies. This alloy is highly resistant to chemical corrosion and oxidation and has high stress-rupture strength and low creep rates under high stresses at temperatures up to 1500o F (816o C). This alloy does work-harden during machining and has higher strength and "gumminess" not typical of steels. Heavy duty machining equipment and tooling should be used to minimize chatter or work-hardening of the alloy ahead of the cutting. It has excellent resistance to chloride ion stress-corrosion cracking. It exhibits satisfactory resistance to numerous oxidizing environments. Inconel X-750 has similar corrosion resistance to alloy 600 in many media.
